Numbers

The Kius number system is based on fours and eights. Technically there's just four numbers - a series of dashes: one dash for "one", two dashes for "two", etc. - adding dots before and/or after these dashes, as well as using various prefixes changes the value of the number. A Kius number is called a "wale" (pronounced: wah-lee) Any one set of four numbers is called a "meuwakay" (mee-oo-wa-kay) - there are 36 of these in the number system. If you're talking about all 144 numbers at once, that's called: "ashwa" (ash-wa).

The Kius number system has been a source of heartburn for me for years - in fact this latest set you see before you is literally hot off the press when I realized there were 118 letters in the new alphabet and only 112 numbers in the new system- how can you count letters if you don't have the numbers to count with?! Anyway, that all said, I don't have a math system worked out yet. I tried once or twice in college, but haven't really picked it back up. Fear not Kius fans! I'll have a math system for you number-crunching pleasure before long!!! |
