"The Kius Planet" is a work of sci-fi/ fantasy I've been working on for years and I sincerely hope it's nearing its end so I can start the publication process. The manuscript has been through various revisions and does currently exist with a beginning, middle and end; I'm just tweaking it here and there and making it tighter in some spots.

I have no intention of having much in the way of illustrations to go with it (it's slated to be a novel), aside from some maps in the beginning to aid the reader in knowing just "where in the world" the story takes place.

The story is set in the future, where space-travel is common place. A group of humans end up on a strange planet and there, they encounter the Kiuses. Click here to learn a little more about the story and to read an excerpt.

Though "The Kius Planet" is the story I'm putting most of my energy towards at the moment - and is the one I want to get published first - it by far is not the only Kius tale I've been spinning. This first book is only meant to be an introduction to the world of Kiuses; my next project will be a "prequel" of sorts: going back to the origins of the Kakiu and the coming of the first Grand Chief.

My original plan had been to include this in a collection of short stories documenting the lives of all the Grand Chiefs through history, however the more I work on the story of the first Kakiu and Grand Chief, the more I believe it can become a stand-alone book. I may still keep the tales of the other Grand Chiefs as a collection of short stories.

I also plan to go forward from "The Kius Planet" as there's certainly more that can be said off of that storyline (after all, it is only the introduction!)

Stay tuned for more updates and developments!
