Hal Keone
|
Hal Keone (pronounced: hal kee-oh-nee) literally translates to mean "The World" in the Kius language, and is the name of the planet the Kius people inhabit. It is the second planet in its solar system and it circles a yellow primary that is slightly younger and hotter than our sun.
Hal Keone is slightly larger than Earth but is less dense, so the gravity is somewhat lighter than here. Hal Keone has a 12 degree axial tilt, so there are seasonal changes. The planet has three moons. The largest and furthest is called Shuko (pronounced: shoo-ko, meaning "Red Moon"). The middle moon is Nuko (noo-ko, "Blue Moon") and is the quickest in its orbit. The smallest moon is closest to the planet and that one is green Pako (pa-ko, "Green Moon"). Every one hundred years the three moons eclipse the sun and bring about the Osandoa - an important event for the Grand Chief of the Spider people. |
