Four and eight are recurring numbers in Kius culture.
Kiuses have four digits on their hands and feet and even in the sky there are four major celestial bodies: the sun and three moons.
A married couple will often bare six children in a lifetime - making eight for the total family unit. Often there are two children born close in age - making four in the household at any one time. When those two children marry and leave their parents' home, two more children are born.

Following is a list of numbers and their meaning to the Kius People:

One
Associated with the God of Creation
Meaning - Quiet, introspection, incompleteness, waiting

Two
Associated with the Goddess of Life
Meaning - Balance, union, journey with support

Three
Associated with the Goddess of Fire
Meaning - Impatience, a sense of anticipation

Four
Associated with the God of Water
Meaning - Stability, inert, respite

Five
Associated with the God of Death
Meaning - Danger, over-compensation, action without thought

Six
Associated with the Goddess of Children
Meaning - Excitement, rest, patiently waiting, potential energy

Seven
Associated with the Goddess of Plants
Meaning - Searching, movement, restlessness

Eight
Associated with the God of Animals
Meaning - Completion, end of journey, wholeness
