Four and eight are recurring numbers in Kius culture.
Kiuses have four digits on their hands and feet and even in the sky there are four major celestial bodies: the sun and three moons.
A married couple will often bare six children in a lifetime - making eight for the total family unit. Often there are two children born close in age - making four in the household at any one time. When those two children marry and leave their parents' home, two more children are born.
